IF your friends told you to jump off a bridge, would you?” Depends on the friend, really. There are certainly friends who I would ignore, should they ask me to jump off a bridge, but there are others that I trust enough to jump off a bridge, were they to ask.
But let’s say the situation is a little different. Perhaps these friends are actually a group of strangers. Maybe you have met one or two of them before, and they seemed nice, but they gave you some alias instead of their actual name. Let’s say that perhaps you are walking across a bridge on a scorching hot day and a group of suspicious strangers gathered underneath a train overpass and shouting “jump” at you as you hike across this hypothetical bridge. . .
There’s really only one thing to do in such a circumstance.
You sure do learn a lot about a person when you go on a walk across the country together. Tents aren't huge, ya know.
The Appalachian Trail is a 2193 mile long journey in which you hike from town to town across the Eastern United States, starting in Georgia and ending in Maine. It is long and full of ups and downs. No literally. There are so many mountains.
The cold nights, the beautiful sunsets, the bugs, the trees, the emotions, and the memories. All that is hard to describe and put into words. It was beautiful, and I hope everyone gets to experience that for whatever that means to you.
We sold my car and bought a van recently. Having just one car poses problems when working at two different seasonal jobs in a new area. Oh well, that’s the gift hindsight gives you. We have been saving up money and are planning on fixing it and living out of it full-time, hopefully before or right after our wedding in September of 2022. Or who knows, those goals are loose, and life is crazy. But that’s the dream, and we are sure going to try.
